Will Plewa
First registering as a RN in 2007, I began working at Flinders Medical Centre in the intensive care unit. I undertook a BHSc (paramedic) from 2009 to 2010 and a Grad Cert in Critical Care Nursing in 2011, both at Flinders University. Concurrently, I began undergraduate nursing workshop facilitation from 2013 to 2018. In 2016 I moved from the ICU to the operating theatres where I currently work as an RN. From 2018 I commenced a part time Bachelor of Science, majoring in biotechnology; I hope to start Honours in 2024. Transitioning from nursing to science, I started this year with the Flinders Accelerator for Microbiome Exploration (FAME) lab for Prof Rob Edwards ordering consumables. When I am not studying or working, I enjoy reading, gardening, and sampling the wares of the many wineries in McLaren Vale with my wife Jamie.
