Peter Hobbins
Dr Peter Hobbins is Head of Knowledge at the Australian National Maritime Museum in Sydney. He leads the museum’s team of curators, plus its specialist library and publications unit. After training initially as a pharmacologist and medical writer, Peter became a historian with interests that span medical research, pandemics, quarantine, aviation safety and maritime history. A long-standing advocate for public history and archaeology, Peter is a Councillor of the Royal Australian Historical Society and Chair of the Professional Historians Association (NSW & ACT).
