Zillur Rahman
I am currently working as a Scientia PhD candidate in the School of Biological, Earth and Environmental Sciences (BEES) at UNSW. My research goal is to establish wastewater as a monitoring tool for antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in the general community on a regional and national scale. Wastewater influents samples around Sydney will be tested for multi-drug resistance bacterial pathogens to monitor the prevalence and any spatial-temporal patterns of AMR and to understand better how demographic, environmental and biological parameters may influence the emergence and spread of AMR in the community.
